Woman rubs headache, seeking relief from Clarksville chiropractor

What is a migraine?

What is a migraine headache? It is pain that occurs in the head and scalp that is an intense throbbing or pulsing sensation in one area of the head and is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. People seek a quiet place to lie down, because migraine attacks can cause significant pain for hours to days. Some migraines are accompanied by sensory warnings such as flashes of light, blind spots, or tingling in your arms or legs. Medication can help reduce symptoms but chiropractic can help correct the problem.

The Natural Treatment of Migraines

I have been successfully treating  and resolving migraine headaches for over 20 years without the use of drugs. What is obvious is the cervical spine is misaligned. This is seen in examination as we get to look at your history and how migraine headaches are related to trauma associated with the head and the neck. The migraine headache can be related to stretched nerves, stretched spinal chord, misaligned cervical vertebrae, and disc pressure to name a few. The bad habits associated with how we sleep, stand, and sit can contribute to the pain associated with migraine. We show you how your neck is relative to normal alignment. The symptoms associated with the misalignment cause the migraine. An examination and x-rays will help determine the extent of your migraine headache. We will work at improving alignment and reducing spinal chord pressure, and the habits that are causing the headache will be addressed. Call our office today at (931) 368-1996 to schedule an appointment to relieve the pressure of migraine headaches.
